- Trustees are all members of the Kiln family & children & grandchildren of Robert Kiln.

History
The Robert Kiln charitable trust was established by Robert Kiln in 1970, to last 50 years. During World War II he served with the Hertfordshire Yeomanry, reaching the rank of Major, commanding the 342nd Hertford battery. Following the war he became an insurance underwriter at Lloyd’s of London and gained an international reputation in the reinsurance industry.
By the time it closed in October 2020, the Robert Kiln Charitable Trust had distributed circa £2 million focussing on his passions of archaeology, conservation, music & causes local to Hertfordshire.
